The People United has built on trainings and mentorship from Project South, Training for Change and the Highlander Center for Education and Research, to develop a series of trainings and workshops based in the principles of popular education - education that is based not in experts but collective knowledge and experience, active and participatory, and which pushes us to take action.

We have visited dozens of campus groups, classes, churches and community groups to provide popular education workshops and skills training. These topics have included globalization, positive male sexuality, prison issues, framing campaign strategy, puppet-making and street theater, and many others.  We would love to develop a training specific to your needs.  We are currently in the process of formalizing new workshop frames, and will soon list what we can offer specifically.  For example, upon our return from our Border Crossing Action, we will be developing a workshop on the roots of immigration and social movements.
