About Us

Since the beginning of Joe Biden’s presidency, the biggest obstacle to his agenda hasn’t been Mitch McConnell―it’s been Democrats like Joe Manchin and Kyrsten Sinema.

When Mitch McConnell wanted to fill the Supreme Court seat that he stole from President Obama, he didn’t spend months insisting on a bipartisan negotiation. He changed the rules so that he could seize power, and ended the filibuster for judicial nominees, allowing him to give Neil Gorsuch life tenure on the highest court in the land.

We need Democrats who are willing to fight as hard for the People as Mitch does for corporate America. But we’ll only get them if the People are united.

The People United is new, but our fight is as old as democracy itself. Corporate interests use big money to make politicians betray the People. But there are more of us―and together, we can push things forward.

In the coming days, we’ll be rolling out our first slate of endorsed candidates―people who don’t take power for granted, and are willing to use it to fight for what they believe in.

We won’t have deep-pocketed corporate donors. This is only going to work if The People are United.

Almost all of America’s problems, from creeping authoritarianism to the climate crisis have the same root: The super-rich have used their wealth to place themselves above the law. We’re changing that, one $5 donation at a time. And the People United will never be defeated.
